Tuition

COVID-19: Classes and Workshops have now resumed but are smaller, to allow for social distancing. Workstations are cleaned between sessions and regular hand washing and sanitizing is encouraged.

Evening and daytime art classes

Classes take place Wednesday mornings and evenings, and Thursday mornings, each group meeting once every three weeks.  Classes cover theory and technical skills with a different subject each session. Watercolour is used as the preferred teaching medium, but we occasionally include other water mased media.

Classes take place at the studio in Weybread (Near Diss) Norfolk.
(Weybread is in Suffolk, on the Suffolk/Norfolk border, but with a Diss, Norfolk postcode ! )  £10 per session (payable per term, in advance).

Day workshops

These are mostly at weekends and take place in my studio,  with a maximum of 4 attendees.

Plenty of demonstration and individual tuition is given, and is planned for the needs of the student at beginners and improvers levels.

Upcoming workshops include:

  • Saturday 2nd July 2022 –   Pastels Workshop    Create a beautiful seascape featuring the big open skies of East Anglia
  • Sunday 7th August 2022 – Mixed Media Workshop  Paint a contemporary scene using a variety of media including watercolour, oil pastel, acrylic and inks.
  • Saturday 20th August 2022 – Acrylics Workshop   Paint a rural scene incorporating farm buildings and trees
  • Sunday 25th September 2022 – Oils Workshop   Paint a typical Norfolk scene – big skies, clouds and maybe a windmill. 
  • Sunday 9th October 2022 –  Pastel Workshop      Buildings, water, reflections and hills painted in a loose contemporary style

All workshops are suitable for beginners as well as those with more experience as plenty of 1:1 tuition is given.Cost: £45 per day               Time: 10am – 4pm                       Materials provided
